STREAM ACCESS

COALITION

Fighting for Your Right to Float, Fish, Boat, and Swim in Colorado's Rivers and Streams

Our Mission:

Protect Public Access to Colorado's Rivers and Streams

Colorado’s rivers and streams are a treasured part of our outdoor heritage, offering incredible opportunities for recreation, conservation, and enjoyment. But today, public access to these waters is under threat. Legal ambiguity and restrictive policies have limited the ability of Coloradans to enjoy their rivers and streams for activities like kayaking, fishing, and rafting.

The Colorado Stream Access Coalition is here to change that.

What's The Issue?

Colorado is one of the only Western states that denies public access to rivers and streams that run through private property. That leaves the public unable to fully enjoy the incredible outdoor recreational opportunities.

Without legal protection for the right to float, paddle, and fish, countless Coloradans are missing out on the enjoyment and benefits of our state’s natural beauty.
